In Pastor Ashley's message, "Led by the Spirit", Pastor outlines the way that we should not be led by our five physical senses. Living this way will lead to frustration and sin. Instead, we should be led by the Spirit, which always will keep us on the path that God would have for us.

In her sermon, Victories Don't Come by Accident, Deann Daniel teaches us that we must have the right strategy for life in peacetime and in war to ensure security and victory. The right strategy includes knowing the Word of God, trusting God and His Word, asking and claiming, worshiping and thanking, and resting and being at peace knowing that God is working on your behalf.

    Tell the Story
Psalm 78 says that it is important that we teach the stories "we have heard and known" to our children so that they will know about the "glorious deeds of the Lord." Melanie Bertoglio teaches us from this passage why it is important to pass down the stories of those we read about in the Bible..."so each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands."

Wade Ford powerfully proves why our environment matters. The sum total of our personal social and cultural conditions influence our individual lives, the lives of those around us, and our greater community. We make choices concerning our environments, and it is important to choose an environment that is conducive for God to move.

Pastor Ashley teaches us not to shy away from the aspects of history, and that even the ugly things of history can teach us invaluable lessons. Using the story of Judas the Iscariot, we are able to receive a great lesson of what it means to truly be a follower of Christ.

Pastor Ashley preaches from Exodus 33. God promises to go with the Israelites as they enter the Promised Land to take possession of it. Realistically, they were heading into enemy territory where they knew they would face imminent danger, ungodly people, and fierce resistance. But God's promise in verse 14 was that He would go with them, give them rest, and that everything would be fine for them. That promise is for the church today as we live in perilous times, and we can find comfort in that understanding.

    Limits
    Posted by Justice Daniel
Justice Daniel teaches that limits in life are often perceived negatively when they are actually very positive. "The less ways you have to fail, the more likely you are to succeed." There is a difference between our personal convictions and limits. Too often we sacrifice relationships with others on the altar of personal conviction. When we set limits, however, those are for us. We are not imposing them on others. Limit yourself, but don't limit God.

    Know the Role Part 2
    Posted by Adam Jones
In the second and final session of this series, Adam Jones explains the irony of the government trying to fill the role of the church and the church trying to fill the role of the government. The role of the church is personal and relational. As Christians, we must care about both the government and the church. We must care about them enough that we recognize when one is trying to do the job of the other. When we know what the church is to do, we can make corrections when we see things in our culture that are out of order.

In Mark 11, we read of the fig tree that appeared on the outside to be good for fruit; however, it did not produce. Pastor Ashley uses this example to show us that as Christians we are created to produce, and when we don't, we are violating the intent of our creator. Jesus spoke to the fig tree and it died immediately at its roots. In like manner, we should be speaking to those things in our lives that are not producing according to God's will for our lives. Too often we speak to God about our problems when He has instructed us to use the Law of Faith to speak to our problems directly.

    Why GO to Church
    Posted by Tim Brooks
Senior Pastor Tim Brooks from Christian Ministries Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas, challenges us with the question, "Why go to church?" In a time when churches are being discouraged and, in some cases, even banned from meeting, is it really that big of a deal to meet in person? After all, online church is church, right? It's definitely more convenient and less time consuming. Please listen as Pastor Tim breaks it down and powerfully reminds us why in-person church is not just better, but neccessary for the Christian.

Pastor Ashley teaches us to rightly divide the passage in Luke 11:5-8, which many have taught as a comparison to God when it is, in fact, a contrast. We do not have to beg God for things that He not only desires to give, but has already given. In the Old Testament, great men like Moses and Abraham had to serve as mediators between God and man; however, today we have Christ as our mediator. He is always advocating on our behalf, but it is our job to position ourselves to receive whatever it is that we are asking for.

Getting Real Part 1: True and False Worship
    Posted by Ashley Ellison
Melanie Bertoglio teaches from Isaiah 58 to remind us that the condition of our vertical relationship with God does not rest on what we do for Him, i.e. going to church, reading the Bible, fasting, praying, sacrificing, singing in the choir, etc. While all of these things are important, a loving, intimate relationship with God will manifest itself in our horizontal relationships with others. If our relationships and our communications with people do not reflect the heart of God toward them, then our vertical relationship with God is not what it needs to be. In today's culture, the world needs to see Christians being nice.
