Nov 30, 2022The Laws of the Kingdom:The Law of UnityPosted by Melanie BertoglioSeries: The Laws of the KingdomPastor Melanie Bertoglio continues teaching on the Laws of the Kingdom, focusing on the Law of Unity. From the beginning of creation we see Father, Son, and Holy Spirit working together in unity. As God's people, we should also be living in unity. Before we can experience the power of unity with others, we must first have an inner unity, which is found when our minds are in agreement with the God who dwells in us.

We can see this law at work in Matthew 25 in the Parable of the Three Servants. Aug 24, 2022Sermon on the Mount: Lust, Adultery and DivorcePosted by Melanie BertoglioSeries: Sermon on the MountPastor Melanie Bertoglio breaks down Matthew 5:27-32 to show us the progression of cultivated lust in our hearts. Adultery results from lusting after someone or something that isn't yours. God understands this because Israel committed adultery by repeatedly turning to other gods. Eventually, God issued a certificate of divorce to Israel and great destruction followed. But God's heart was always to be reconciled with Israel, just as His heart is for husbands and wives to remain committed and to be reconciled to each other.

- Mar 2, 2022Parables -The Sower
Mar 2, 2022Parables -The SowerPosted by Melanie BertoglioParables were a means that Jesus used to convey his message. Parables are an earthly story with a heavenly meaning. It's God's desire that we would understand the meaning of the parables. The Parable of the Sower, found in Mark chapter four is foundational. It teaches us how to receive the Word in all of the other parables. Ultimately, in the Parable of the Sower, we find that it all comes down to two types of soil...Soil that produces fruit and soil that doesn't. The seed is good, but it is dependent on the soil, to determine whether it will bring forth fruit. As we apply this parable of Jesus to our lives, we may examine ourselves to see if our heart is soil that produces.

- Apr 28, 2021Destroying Strongholds
Apr 28, 2021Destroying StrongholdsPosted by Melanie Bertoglio2 Corinthians 10: 3 tells us that the weapons we have as Christians are mighty in God for the complete destruction of strongholds. Strongholds are unholy filters through which our thoughts pass that are based on satanic lies, generational mindsets, and human woundings. But praise be to God that He has given us the weaponry needed to attack the enemy behind those strongholds and eradicate them from our lives.
- Mar 7, 2021Essential : True Worship Part 2
Mar 7, 2021Essential : True Worship Part 2Posted by Melanie BertoglioIn the second part of her True Worship message, Melanie Bertoglio takes us deeper into our motives behind our worship. Melanie talks about how true worship is essential to the body of Christ, just as much as any other part that we are obedient to. However, we must constantly check ourselves to make sure that our worship is truly for God, because if we are getting caught up in the things surrounding our worship more than who we are worshipping, we cant get caught up "doing Christian things" the devil's way.
- Feb 28, 2021Essential : True Worship Part 1
Feb 28, 2021Essential : True Worship Part 1Posted by Melanie BertoglioDoes He get your praise? In a culture of personalization, likes and dislikes, Melanie Bertoglio asks this pertinent question boldly to the church. Do we spend more time criticizing the atmosphere around our worship time, than actually in the presence of God? Melanie draws out of scripture that we are called to worship God, and He deserves our praise. Rebelling against this, lines us up with the Deceiver, Lucifer, who sought to steal the honor and praise that only belongs to God.
